"Factotum" stars Matt Dillon and Lili Taylor. Dillon plays Henry Chinaski, the fictional alter-ego of "Factotum" author Charles Bukowski.
The film follows Chinaski around Los Angeles as he works odd jobs that allow him time to follow his passion of writing. He must also keep away from distractions such as drinking, women and gambling.
However, Chinaski has trouble staying on track and doesn't actually write as much as he hopes to. Then, he meets Jan (Lili Taylor), and he must battle the love of a woman and the love of an art.
"Factotum" was nominated for an Amanda Award in Norway and at the Valladolid International Film Festival. It also won best actress for Lili Taylor at the Copenhagen International Film Festival.
ACE shows independent films every weekend at the Lumina Theater, and they are always free to students.
