Feeling a little heavier this fall with a summer-of-fun behind you? Want someone to push you to your potential and get you back in shape? Campus recreation has just the thing to help you return to your old frame-or even create a new one.

Personal trainers are easily accessible and available to you through campus recreation at an affordable price, ranging from a single session at $15 to 10 sessions for $90.

Each session lasts an hour and consists of an individual fitness program created especially for you based on your needs, availability and interests by a skilled personal trainer. Sessions also include a full fitness assessment, fitness consultations, one-on-one or group instruction on selected machines, free weights, cardiovascular equipment, flexibility training and program development.

In order to schedule a session, you must first receive a fitness assessment to ensure your health and eligibility. During your fitness assessment, a trained staff member will check things like your heart rate, blood pressure, body mass index, height and weight.

You can schedule a fitness assessment by picking up a blue card at the campus recreation desk, located at the entrance of the building, filling it out and submitting it to a staff member. Within 24 hours, you will be contacted by a campus recreation staff member to set up an appointment for your fitness assessment. With your fitness assessment successfully completed, you are ready to begin setting up sessions with your very own personal trainer.

For more information please visit the campus recreation Web site at www.uncw.edu/campusrecreation or contact Robin Bell, assistant director of fitness programs, at 962-4168.
