Euro tips: know before you go

Abstract:
If you're going to Europe on one of the many class trips offered by the Foreign Language Department, you'll tour some of the most beautiful countries in the world with a huge group of friends. If it's your first time to Europe, there are a couple rules you should try to remember....

When I was abroad I really tried not to fill these American stereotypes, but I definitely witnessed many other Americans being loud and obnoxious. However, I eventually realized that Europeans are on average, not as outgoing or feel that they need to be. This is definitely an American trait. But generally, almost all of the Europeans I met were very friendly and willing to talk to anyone. I had no qualms talking to strangers in bars in the UK, whereas in Wilmington, you might get your face rearranged by a brooding patron.
