Staying safe while drinking

Crossroads, the Substance Abuse and Education Program on campus, conducted a survey in fall 2009 of 381 UNCW students. The survey stated that 19 percent did not drink at all. This means that 81 percent of the students do drink.

It takes about three hours to eliminate the alcohol content of two drinks, depending on your weight, and time is the only way to sober up.

We may not practice "duck and cover" drills anymore as seen in black-and-white films from the 1950s, but according to Kay, nuclear weapons are still very much a threat.
